Quantitative Research
The Just Kid research team knows how to ask kids questions
that elicit the accurate answer, not the answer a kid thinks
a researcher wants to hear. We've learned to do this
over 15 years of laser-like focus on kids and the folks who
influence them. Our kid-focused research team boasts
well over half a century of kid research experience, and a
passion for viewing the world "through a kid's lens" with
research that drives strategy and sits at the front of the
strategy table, not on the bookshelf.
Just Kid's quantitative toolbox includes a number of proprietary
techniques designed to elicit accurate, projectable responses.
Our team includes two Ph.D. researchers, a 20+ year market research
veteran, and a cadre of kid-seasoned research managers and
analysts with a great depth of kid research design and analysis.
Wherever possible, our quantitative research professionals
strive to obtain a nationally representative picture of kids'
points-of-view, using kids' rather than researchers' words
as answers and encouraging kids to respond directly and candidly.
In all, our team has completed hundreds of different quantitative
research studies ranging from typical attitude and usage surveys
to deep-dive studies that understand what motivates kids to
action on issues that affect their daily lives.
Some of the quantitative research services we provide include:
Opportunity Scoping A&U Studies: Designed
not just to understand kids' attitudes and behaviors, but also
to identify unmet needs and undeserved opportunities within
the market based on kids' needs, wants and desires.
Quick Dips: Got
issues demanding fast response? Just Kid's proprietary 2000-plus
family panel is polled regularly for fast answers to your important
kid-centric questions. These
surveys, which often include 500 or so participants over a
weekend, can give you directional understanding of an important
issue.
Custom Polling: Just Kid
custom polling allows our clients to quickly accumulate the
quantitative facts and data needed to understand issues of
importance from kids' own perspectives. We
can accomplish these studies using online and telephone methodologies. Many
of the major brands that you know utilize our survey tools
to monitor kids' and parents' attitudes toward their brands,
competitors, and category on an ongoing basis to provide benchmarking,
longitudinal attitude tracking, and to have baselines against
which to test new ideas.
"What If" Testing: A
proprietary set of techniques that uses quantitative research
to identify the most fertile potential product or positioning
strategies before resources are spent on concept and creative
development.
Segmentation Studies: Just Kid researchers apply classic
segmentation techniques to identify product platforms, needs
segments, whitespace opportunities, and new target groups within
the larger kid marketplace.
